Come Volunteer With Us

The Martin Luther King CommUNITY of Greater Kennett Area (MLKCommUNITY) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the dream of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  We're committed to creating the Beloved Community, a community where everyone is respected and poverty, hunger and hate are not tolerated.   Our programs bring together people from all walks of life in the community to fellowship with each other, to celebrate the amazing life and legacy of Dr. King, to understand and utilize the Kingian principles of nonviolence, and to engage in activities that support the elimination of poverty and hunger and all forms of bigotry and violence in our community.

We rely on the support of passionate volunteers to achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact in our community. Our volunteers are a  vital part of our team who give a much-needed voice and bring important skills to help us promote our programs of feeding the hungry, providing scholarships for needy students and campers, and educating the public about the injustices of
racial inequality, xenophobia, classism, sexism, religious discrimination, white supremacy, ableism and exclusion which are still polarizing members of humanity,

Please complete this form if you are interested in volunteering with us.  We have many needs:  grant writing, board of directors, community organizing, social media, public speaking, event host/hostess, technology. and accounting/bookeeping.  Here's the link: Volunteer Opportunities at MLKCommUNITY.
